A motorcyclist fought off three robbers who tried to steal his motorbike in Chipping Norton.
The man was travelling through the town at around 7pm on Tuesday August 9 when they stopped at the zebra crossing opposite The Kings Arms to allow three men to cross.

A motorcyclist fought off three robbers who tried to steal his motorbike in Chipping Norton.
The man was travelling through the town at around 7pm on Tuesday August 9 when they stopped at the zebra crossing opposite The Kings Arms to allow three men to cross.
As the biker stopped at the crossing to allow the men to cross the street, the three men headed straight for him and attacked him, attempting to steal the motorcycle.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “One man positioned himself to the right side of the motorcycle and tried grabbing the bike, while the other two positioned themselves to my left and tried to get me off the bike.
“Eventually I got off the bike and hit the ‘kill switch’. Then an altercation happened with the male on the right side of the bike, while one of the males jumped on the bike to get away but couldn’t operate it.

“I managed to fight them off and they eventually gave up, but as they walked away they began intimidating all of the other motorists on the road.”
Thames Valley Police issued a statement saying a 24-year-old man from Chipping Norton and a 35-year-old man from Witney have been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery on Tuesday August 9 at around 7.20pm.
They have both since been released on bail until September 6 and an investigation is ongoing.
